Shoot No.4 Work Diary

In this lesson i did a shoot with balloon. With the help of a friend the balloon were threw into the air and i would capture them as the was falling. I was aiming to get as many balloon in the composition as i could to ensure that the photographs did not look plain. I used a red background to avoid seeing the shadow of the balloon on the back drop.

In my first photograph i like the way in which the balloon were spread over the composition compared to some of my other photographs which has balloon all in one corner of the composition. I also like the combination of colours as i felt that they all contrasted each other making each balloon standout from one another.

In my second photograph i like the fact that some of the edges of the balloon were cut out of the composition as i felt that it established that they are moving therefore they will all be at different stages when the photograph is being taken. Also the fact that no shadow can be seen made this photograph one of my best as various of my other photograph has shadows from the balloon it.

If i was to continue with this shoot i would like to try and capture more balloon in the composition and try a different colour background to see if it changes the mood of the photograph such as black.
