Shoot No.3 Work Diary

For this shoot i wanted to freeze the motion of someone doing football skills. I reduced the shutter speed to try and capture the ball in mid air or the model. It took a while to get the correct shutter speed as i did not want the ball or the model to be blurred in the photograph.

In my first photograph i was trying to capture the model doing kick-up. At first this was hard as the ball kept coming out blurred in the photograph however i found this was the best one. I like the composition of this photograph as i felt that if too much of the model was to be shown in this specific photograph, the attention would have been taken away from the motion which i was trying to capture.
In my second photograph i was able to capture the model in mid air well doing a football skill. Also the models legs look slightly blurred, this can be implied that they was moving fast. In this specific photograph i did not want to place the model in the center of the composition to show that the ball is going to go towards the empty space within the composition.

If i was to continue with this shoot i would like to do it in the studio to see if i could better outcome due to me setting up my own lighting. I would also like to try and take photograph during a football match so that they look more realistic.
