For this shoot i went to Convert Garden and Trafalgar Square to photograph the real life statues. These represent freezing motion as they are staying in one position which is in the middle of a motion.
In my first photograph i wanted the subject to stand out from the busy looking background.I did this by adding a blur to the background and keeping the subject in focus. By changing the level and curves i was able to make his costume a brighter gold than it already was. I decided to blur the box as i felt it added to mystery of how the man is sitting down without a chair.
In my second photograph, i again blurred the background to ensure that the real life statue was the main focus of the photograph. I also reduced the brightness of the foreground to then contrast the bright silver costume on the real life statue.
If i was to continue with this shoot i would like to try and avoid getting people in the background as it takes the focus away from the real life statue.
