In my first photograph i wanted to capture a close up of the smoke being releases form the models lips. the smoke created a shape which became denser as it left her mouth. When editing this photograph i changed the level and curves so that the smoke appeared more white and the model lips looked almost red. I like this photograph as i like the way that the smoke fill the majority of the composition however you are still able to see a small section of the models face which shows where the smoke it coming from.
In my second photograph i wanted to capture more of the model by including her whole face as well as the smoke. Rather than just blowing out the smoke, the model created rings to give a different twist to the photograph. The black background along with some editing in Photoshop helped to define the individual ring and make them appear more dense than they actual are. Also in Photoshop i made the model appear paler as i felt that it would look good against the black ground and help with the overall contrast.
If i was to continue with this shoot i would like to experiment with creating different shapes with the smoke and also editing them in a way in which they look like sculptures made of of smoke opposed to just clouds of smoke.
